Charlemagne (April 2, 742 - 28 January, 814), also known as Charles the Great and Charles I, was the King of the Franks and Emperor of the Romans.

Over 2000 years after his death, Bender pillaged the remains of Charlemagne, possibly from his tomb in Aachen Cathedral. After Fry said that his dog, Seymour was smart enough to dig up bones, Bender presented the remains to prove his own intelligence.
