Franklin Wendell "Frank" Welker is an American voice actor. He has provided the voices for several characters, and is known for vocalizations for animals and creatures. Some of his well known roles include Fred Jones from Scooby Doo as well as being the current voice of Scooby himself, Thaddeus Plotz, Ralph the Guard, Runt, Buttons, and others on Animaniacs, Ray Stantz and Slimer on The Real Ghostbusters, and Megatron on Transformers.
He also did voice work on Matt Groening's other animated series The Simpsons where he used to provide the vocals for Santa's Little Helper, Snowball II, and did various other animal noises. He quit doing bit parts on the show in 2002 after a dispute over getting a pay raise, but returned as Nibbler in the crossover episode "Simpsorama".
