The Omicronians were a form of sentient aliens native to the planet Omicron Persei 8. They invaded the planet Earth in the 31st Century due to Fry knocking Fox off the air, and thus interrupting the show Single Female Lawyer 1000 light years away and 1000 years in the future. They are chubby and green. They have difficulty telling different humans apart, and have even had difficulty telling Leela and an orangutan from one another. ("When Aliens Attack," "The Problem With Popplers") This may be because to them, all humans look alike.
They raise their young, which resemble fried shrimp for a short period, on nursery planets. When their young grow up, they eat their mothers. ("The Problem with Popplers") they have great strength and durability and are more technologically and militarily advanced than humans. Their mouths are big enough to swallow adult humans whole.
They seem to have a great affinity for human pop culture, enjoying Earth sitcoms and are apparently for the most part able to relate to the characters in them despite being hulking cannibalistic monsters.
