"The Impossible Stream" is the first episode of Season 8 of Futurama, the 141st episode overall and the premiere of the third run.
Synopsis[]
Fry risks permanent insanity when he attempts to binge-watch every TV show ever made.

Plot[]
Picking up where the last episode left off, the universe is frozen in time. Professor Farnsworth emerges from a time warp and presses the time button to reset the universe to the moment time stood still. Fry and Leela are restored to their younger ages but have no memory from their time as a married couple, while the rest of the Planet Express Crew are confused.
After finding out that everyone has been frozen for 10 years, Fry realizes he hadn’t accomplished anything for his whole life. He plans on having a life goal and eventually settles on watching every TV show in existence. Fry soon completes watching every show except "All My Circuits" which consists of 13020 episodes. He thinks he can't do it because the series is so long. Then Leela suggests "binging". Fry wears binging googles that has screws driven into his brain. Professor opposes Fry's binging yet he brings a still suit for Fry to use during binging.
Fry spends months on the armchair with the still suit on him watching the series without moving. The crew takes care of his basic needs. Professor checks Fry's brain waves and notices that Fry's mind has been overpowered by streaming. He claims that if Fry reached the end of the series, he would lose his consciousness. No new episodes have been produced as the show got cancelled ten years ago so it's only a matter of time before Fry finishes the series. Feeling guilty for encouraging Fry's binge-watch, Leela goes to the streaming company Fulu with Bender. She manages to convince the execubots to reboot the series.
Calculon is in hell at that time and the execubots reach an agreement with Robot Devil to resurrect him. Robot Devil sends him directly to the film set. While Leela and Bender are supervising the set, Professor calls and inform them that Fry has only two episodes left. They have to complete an episode every hour to make sure Fry keeps watching the show uninterrupted. While the crew barely managing to keep up, Fry changes the pace and watching at double speed. Luckily Calculon and Monique are able to act at double speed but writers can't keep up with the hectic pace and burn themselves out. Bender assumes the role of the writers. Then the director suffers an heart attack and Leela replaces him. However executive bots come to the set and announce that the series is cancelled again. Leela gives bad news to the Professor and he tell Leela to bring the casting crew to Planet Express with her.
Professor's plan is to rehearse the scenes in front of Fry simultaneously while he is watching them on binging googles in order to accustom him to reality. Calculon and Monique acting in front of Fry, Professor slows down the binging speed and Hermes decrease the opacity of the googles gradually. Calculon has explosives in his hands just like he had in the scene. The explosives are set off by accident. Explosion occurs and Fry's suit catches fire. The suit turns into a pile of ash within seconds. The crew mourns Fry's death. Then, Fry enters the room and explains that he took off the suit two days ago. Initially happy to see him alive, the crew gets annoyed when he says that he found the last episodes that they produced unwatchable.
