The Masked Unit was believed to be the best robot fighter until Bender beat him (he actually slipped on some oil from Bender's spilt popcorn and broke down) in a movie theater. The Masked Unit is knocked out and his secret identity is revealed. Bender replaces him replaced him when offered by Abner Doubledeal. In order to keep his identity secret he is able to compress himself into a smaller configuration.
