Trivia[]

  • The episode is similar to The Simpsons episode "22 Short Films About Springfield", which is about what the different stories can happen to the people in the town of Springfield and the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic episode "Trade Ya!", which is about all 6 ponies testing their friendships of how they are going to trade for different items. Both episodes are similar to this because it shows a day in a life of a group of characters can be really interesting, even without really dramatic events.
  • The idea for this episode came about when Richard Nixon the President of the United States, issued a $300 tax rebate to everyone.
  • Farnsworth breaks rules one and two of Fight Club; do not talk about Fight Club.
  • When Fry goes to drink his 100th cup of coffee during the climax of the episode, he uses three one-dollar bills to pay. This is inconsistent with earlier scenes in the episode, where dollar amounts were deducted from the special "Tricky-Dick Fun Bill" when change remained from the purchase.
    • It is possible that he had spent all of his Tricky-Dick Fun Bill, as he was seen purchasing numerous pots of coffee, as well as extra large (the Whale coffee at the aquarium), so it's possible he had 3 dollars himself he used to pay.
